Papermilldirect DT Project - All in One Christmas Gift Box and Card

Hi! Dropping by today with a quick tutorial for an All-in-One Gift Box and Card, just in time for Christmas!

Supplies needed for this project -
Card - Buff Smooth & White Hammered Papermilldirect
Christmas themed patterned papers
Tim Holtz Hitch Fastener
Ribbon
Paper trimmer
Scoring board and score tool
Crop-a-dile
Adhesives - double sided tape & foam tape

Cut three pieces of the Buff card - one at 4 ⅞” x 4 ⅞”, one at 6” x 3” and one at 8 ½” x 3”. Cut 2 pieces of white card measuring 2 ⅞” x 2 ⅞”

Score the 4 ⅞” x 4 ⅞” piece at 1" on all four sides.

Cut the 1" score lines up to the horizontal score line. Taper the edges to make tabs, as shown.

With the outside of the card facing up, apply double sided tape to the tabs.

Adhere the tabs to the inside of the adjoining sides to make the drawer

Score the 8 ½” x 3” piece of card at ½”, 1 ½”, 4 ½” and 5 ½”

Taper the edges of the ½” section and apply a strip of double sided tape.

Adhere the ½” tab to the inside of the other end to make the wrap for the drawer.

Score the 6" x 3" piece of card at 3".

Fold and crease well with a bone folder

Apply double sided tape to the back of the card. You can use wet glue if you prefer

Adhere the card to the top of the drawer wrap

Adhere the white panels to the outside and in inside of the card

Cut 2 pieces of white card measuring 2 ⅞” x ⅞” and adhere to the sides of the wrap

Cut 2 pieces of white card measuring 2 ¾” x ⅞” and adhere to the front and back of the drawer.

Cut one piece of patterned paper measuring 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” for the card front , two pieces measuring ¾” x 2 ¾” for the sides of the wrap and two pieces measuring ¾” x 2 ⅝” for the front and back of the drawer.

Using a crop-a-dile, or similar, punch a hole in the centre of the drawer front.

Add the drawer pull. I used Tim Holtz Hitch Fasteners.

Wrap a length of ribbon around the whole box and tie in a bow on the left hand side.

Adhere the sentiment, using foam tape, over the ribbon ensuring you secure the ribbon to the box with the tape.

Fix the bow as desired and cut away the excess ribbon. The ribbon can be opened to write your personal message and the drawer filled with candy, gift card or small gift.
